| “ | Thank you for hosting the stage production of "The Summer When the Light Died." The passionate staff, director, and actors have created a world of "Hikanatsu" that is unique to the stage, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of stage it will be. I think it will be a very enjoyable play for fans of the original work, so I hope you will come and see it! | ” |
| “ | My first stage performance will be in "The Summer When the Light Died," and I'm incredibly happy to be playing the role of Tsujinaka Yoshiki! When I first read the original work, I was immediately drawn in by its unique worldview and the complex relationship between Yoshiki and Hikaru, wondering what would happen next! This story isn't just horror; it also depicts the loneliness and emotions unique to adolescence, as well as the conflict that arises in Hikaru and Yoshiki's desire to be together. Yoshiki is a sensitive character who is constantly torn between fear and feelings for Hikaru, so I want to portray that emotional turmoil in his performance. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the worldview of the original work is portrayed on stage, and I hope that everyone who comes to see the show can experience the unique tension of a stage production together. Please look forward to it! |

| “ | Nice to meet you! I'm Imamachi Teru, who plays Hikaru in the play "The Summer When the Light Died"! This is the first time I've had the opportunity to play a character with the same name as me. I still remember the mysterious emotion and unfamiliarity I felt when I introduced myself during the visual shoot. After I heard about the role, I read the manga, and since the anime started, I've watched it every week, and my excitement for today's reveal has grown to the point of bursting! I'm finally free! This work, beloved by so many, is filled with wonderful and indescribable expressions, and I can't even imagine how it will be portrayed on stage. Let's all look forward to it together!!! I will do my best to play Hikaru with lots of love. Thank you! |

| “ | I believe one of the attractions of stage and theatre is the sense of "uncertainty." The experience of squinting your eyes in the darkness as you sense something strange, or straining your ears to hear the uneasy sound of a rumbling crossing gate, is something that can only be experienced on stage in real time. I believe that the play "The Summer When the Light Died" will be filled with that kind of "fear and excitement that can only be experienced by being there." Together with our trustworthy cast and production team, we will bring an unforgettable "that summer" to Kinokuniya Hall in the winter. | ” |
