Synopsis[]
Cleaning the classroom after school ends isn't exactly the most exciting thing for a bunch of high schoolers. That naturally also holds true for Yoshiki, "Hikaru," and Maki. Surely there's no harm done in fooling around a little to make things more fun... right?
Plot[]
Sometime before Maki fractures his arm, "Hikaru" and Yoshiki are cleaning the chalkboard after school. Hikaru claps two chalk erasers onto his face, then presses his face onto the board, leaving an imprint of his expression. He and Yoshiki laugh, drawing Maki's attention. Noticing that they're bored, he calls them into the hallway and shows them the "Surefall hall," which is an infamously slippery area. He claims that Hara trips here every day, and challenges them – whoever walks down the corridor without falling wins.
Yoshiki is skeptical, but immediately slips and falls once he sets foot in the area. Laughing, Maki and "Hikaru" follow after him, only to slip as well. The boys lie sprawled on the floor for a moment, stunned. Maki leaves and returns with two mops to use like crutches for extra stability, but he quickly falls again. The three of them then arrange themselves in a line and grab onto each other's belt loops before taking a careful step forward together. They still fall, and they all slide together down the hallway as if they were in a bobsleigh. They reach such a high speed that Yoshiki, who is in the front of the line, crashes into the wall and puts a hole through it with his foot. He tugs, but his foot is completely stuck. Maki and "Hikaru" stare before Maki asks if it's okay to go home now, to Yoshiki's horror. Yoshiki shouts not to screw around with him, his voice raised higher than he'd ever raised it in his life.
