Synopsis[]
Asako is having a bad hair day and finds herself frustrated with her hard-to-manage curly hair. She envies her friends for not having to deal with unruly hair. Little does she know that when her friend Yuuki sets her sights on fixing a particular problem, she gets things done swimmingly and has a pleasant surprise in store for Asako the following day in school...
Plot[]
Asako sits at her classroom desk, dejected, with her gym sweater pulled up over her head. Yoshiki asks if something's wrong, and Yuuki explains that she's having a bad hair day. She takes off the sweater and shows her hair, which has poofed up to a great volume, and then covers it again. Yuuki says it's cute like a Bichon Frisé, but Asako denies this, saying she used to be called a clown for her hair in grade school. She says she's jealous of Yuuki and Yoshiki's straight hair and wonders how they get it that way.
That night, Yuuki watches video tutorials on hair braiding. The next day at school, she braids Asako's hair to help her reduce the volume. Asako is ecstatic and asks how she learned how to do this, when she's usually clumsy with things like this, but Yuuki assures her that when she gets serious things like this are easy. Asako shouts that Yuuki's gonna make her fall in love with her.
Watching from the other side of the classroom, Yoshiki tells "Hikaru" the girls are a heartwarming sight since they were childhood friends. Then Yuuki comes over and tells Yoshiki she’s going to use him as her practice dummy for braiding, but she puts his hair in cornrows.
